Yeah, I can see from the media reports that it's a war on Bernie right now. It's not that his ideas are too far to the left for the Democrat Party, because every one of their candidates is a socialist, but that he openly refers to himself as a socialist and that is going to a positive point only for those who would be voting for him anyhow, while it will be seen as a negative by others who might otherwise vote Democrat. Plus, it might be that - like Trump - Bernie isn't so firmly under the control of the Party apparatus, and that scares them. More likely though, they know he won't win in the general election and his candidacy would be likely to hurt their chances at keeping control of the House or taking control of the Senate. Warren might want to stay in as long as she can afford to do so, in the hopes of making a deal for a VP slot but I think that, like Bloomberg, she has too much baggage to be an asset. Realistically, I can't see any of them winning. Then, I don't think Obama would have had a chance of winning if the Republicans had run someone against him. Neither McCain or Romney was worth voting for, so a lot of conservatives voted Constitution Party, Libertarian, or didn't vote in the presidential election at all. I certainly didn't vote for Obama, but neither did I vote for McCain or Romney. I think Biden has a serious problem that he's not doing a very good job at hiding. As with Hillary's obvious health problems in 2016, Biden is losing it. While he has always told obvious lies and said stupid things, he comes off as someone who might have Alzheimer's. I don't know if it's just because he's old or if he really is worse now than he used to be. Trump would chew him up and spit him out, the only danger being that he might look mean picking on an old guy who's lost his mind. Bloomberg is sinking a lot of money into his campaign but he doesn't seem to be able to attract more than about twenty people to an event, and that's counting the media. The man has no personality and I don't know that he could buy one. Can he really win the presidency on the basis of an expensive advertising campaign alone? Of all of the Democrat candidates, Bloomberg is the one I would least like to see as president. He would seek to become an autocrat. If successful, the American people would only have the freedom to make the decisions that he approves of. As for seniors, except for those who can afford to buy it, only the elite would have access to healthcare. He has no regard for anyone below his status level, so he would just as soon we all die off. We're too old to be useful and not worthy of life. Electing Bloomberg would be the equivalent of electing Hitler.
That would be the low-information voters who are attracted to the populist but have no interest or understanding of the issues.
This would be funny if not so sad. https://trendingpolitics.com/video/supercut-joe-biden-s-constant-blunder-compilation-6755.html
What I am reading now is that Biden has made deals with Buttigieg and Klobuchar , and that is why they dropped out and immediately announced support for Joe Biden. According to the reports, he has promised Klobuchar the position of Attorney General, and Health and Human Services to Buttigieg. Also..... and this was a kind of shock (although it should not have been, I guess)...... Remember Stacy Abrams, who made such a fuss after Trump was elected, and about the voting irregularities........ well, this is who Biden will choose as his running mate ! This gets him the support of the House Majority Whip, Jim Clyburn, because Stacy is a personal friend. So, if Biden has a stroke or is proven to have Alzheimer’s, or some other reason he can’t do his job, this woman would become our president ! If I wasn’t planning on voting for Trump already, this would certainly inspire me to do so.
Maybe she will finally concede the governor's race in GA if she's the VP candidate. And yeah, what a great choice. A woman with over $200k in credit card debt sounds perfect for the job.
In Maine, despite fewer than 35% of registered Republicans voting, while more than 65% of registered Democrats voted, and we have more Democrats than Republicans anyhow, Trump received far more votes than any of the Democrat candidates. No, he wasn't the only one on the ballot; there were two others on the ballot, and one of them even received one delegate versus Trump's 833. Not all of the votes have been calculated but it has been called and, oddly enough, in this strange new Democrat-dominated state government that some call a constitutional republic, while others refer to it as a democracy, our Democrat Secretary of State has said that they would not be calculating the remainder of the votes. True, the outcome isn't in question but how do they think it makes someone feel to know that their vote is literally not going to be counted. It's not even that Trump has received enough delegates to win. He has 833 and 1,276 are required to win, with 2,550 available. There are still 1,716 delegates not counted. If Weld were to get 1,276 of them, he would be the winner. That's not going to happen, of course, particularly since the majority of the votes that have been tabulated are from the more liberal southern part of the state, while the more conservative northern part of the state is where many of the polling places count their votes by hand and sometimes take a long time doing it. But still, it doesn't make me feel good to know that the Secretary of State can just decide not to tabulate the votes because he doesn't think another outcome is likely. It's possible that he either misspoke or that he was misquoted, and maybe he said he wasn't going to have a full tabulation by the end of the day, but he was quoted as saying that they weren't going to complete the tabulation because the outcome wasn't going to change. By the way, when I say delegates, I am talking about state delegates, not national delegates. Maine only has 22 national delegates, and Trump has them all. For the Democrats, Biden has 11, Bernie has 9, and Warren has 4, and that's with more than 98% of the votes tabulated. Clearly, our Democrat Secretary of State doesn't want to waste time counting Republican votes.
Okay, while the state isn't going to tabulate them, the votes are still coming in and there is a count. With some votes still not in, Trump has received more votes in this primary than any Republican candidate since before Ronald Reagan, and most of the Republicans didn't even bother voting because it's not like any of the others were going to beat him.
Have been on CNN listening to representative Alexandra Ocaseo Cortez talking to Cuomo about Saunder’s campaign and strategy going against Biden.
