This I don't really "put up with" but it is a real problem for me at this age, plus being on SS income alone. I bought my little truck new in '94. It's quite an amazing vehicle, and has carried me far and wide. I loved seeing if the grass was greener, a gypsy at heart, like my dad before me. Now my truck is really showing it's wear and tear, and my friend here in Oregon that is 88 mentioned lastnight that you can buy these dehumidifying pellets (I guess they are). I found them at Home Depot, and will go down in a few minutes here to pick some up. So far, my truck is still pretty air tight, but the headliner has gotten splits and bubble. I don't see or feel any water, just a cold feeling so I am thinking I probably should have started using something like this quite some time ago. I didn't know about it, and wasn't trying to find out what to do. Although I'd planned to have a new head-liner put in. That idea went away when I spent my saved money on moving back to Oregon. I do not have the option to get a new vehicle, I have great credit but too low of income for payments. All I can do is little things to make my truck last. I keep a savings account, a little out each month of my checks, and always seems to be enough when I need to take for any new parts. So far so good, and oil changes. I can refill, and do that myself, all my anti-freeze, add oil if it's down (it never seems to be, like I said, an amazing little vehicle) washer fluid. Other thing I have to pay to have done of course Any feedback welcome, but please try not to tell me how easy it is to have someone else do it ok?? I don't have that luxury, Denise
BTW, only a slight exaggeration, then below that, my new "bamboo" foot-stool. The stool is a great help, and doesn't look to ugly in my throne-room: https://photos.app.goo.gl/owoUardGtk6a5H4S9 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CYP8KLKC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&th=1
So ask the manager about putting in a regular heightened seat since that was one was for the previous tenant
How do clean your bathtub? Even tho house is 106 yes old the bathtub appears to be 40ish or later. Very narrow but deep. It is exhausting to clean. I have used brillo pads, simple green, magic eraser, spray and wash...just does cut soap scum even scrubing . We only shower, always have. I need something that melts off soap scum. To look at tub is not filthy looking, but I can see an feel not slick clean. Any suggestions. OH hard water here,so salt is added to the water.
We have hard water so I use vinegar to clean my tub. I get a gallon of vinegar and pour about half of it into the tub along with hot water. Fill higher than the "water line" and let it sit several hours.
I use something like Clean Shower. You spray it all over after a shower and the soap/hard water does not stick. And it smells better than vinegar which I had been using forever.
Would you be able to replace your own headliner? If you can, you can order one from Rock auto. They have stuff for almost any vehicle. https://www.rockauto.com/
I don't have any space to work in Don, not even a small carport here at these apts. It would be extremely hard for me to take on the job. I also wonder what is happening that is causing it to split like that, and bubble up, heat, cold?? It started by look like someone took a pair of scissors and cut little snips all over the place, but I can tell it is some sort of wear and tear on the sort of, foam-like material. Thanks for replying, I appreciate just having someone to discuss it with
It doesn't seem to dry slippery. But I do have as shower mat. Turning around in the shower is a challenge for me.
I just saw one today an one of the 'side effects' was lower limb loss was more common with the drug. I ran over to my laptop and ordered some--express.
