    Good songs!

I admit, though, that I personally think the spirit of resistance expressed here would be better directed toward Our Corporate Overlords than in anti-vax protests and identity-politics scuffles and so forth. But that's just me!

Kris Kristofferson has been my favourite singer song writer for decades. I've seen him three times in concert . . . there are very few songs of his that I don't love. Here's one, and as a Vietnam vet he definitely had the creds to sing anti-war protest songs. . . .

Always stood up for our vets but didn;t agree with V.N. war. I saw some very badly injured young men in V.A. Hospitals.I'll never ever forget. Nobody insults or abuses them in front of me,period!

This just now reminded me of the first song I heard by Eliza Gilkyson, ripping into GW and his neocons back at the start of this horrible century. Just about says it all!

    Exactly!!

Being against any war is NEVER about being against the real human beings who fought it.

Here's a different sort of protest song from the 60s, and like the others I've posted was a personal favourite. The words make it seem as though it was written today, not 1/2 century ago.

Edited to add: I still have this album, lol

I haven't ever heard this one! It's perfect both literally and as a metaphor for our rapidly capsizing social order.

Early 1970s we were stopped at a light in St.Augustine ,Fl at intersection of the Lions Bridge. A hippy stuck his head into my car window cussing V.N. soldiers. I rolled it up on his head and hubby said 'what:eek:. I didn't rioll it up tight. But he couldn't get loose till I rolled it back down. :). Didn't hurt the litle commie of course.
I did like some of the hippies just not the nuts.
