Racial Unrest? We Lived Through It!

    If there was any "racial" type unrests in Ft. Wayne, when I was in high school, I never heard about them. Actually, I never seen them the entire four years of high school, but was told that one black kid went to my school. There were no blacks that lived in, or around, our farming community or in Churubusco. The only time my classmates interacted with any blacks was during the basketball Sectionals. We played against Northside High School and, back then, all of the blacks in Ft Wayne, lived on the northside.

    Heck, until I met my wife, the only thing I knew about Motown was the Michael Jackson ride at Disneyland and listening to Thriller cassette. Wife got me into Motown and now I absolutely love the music.
