    Electricity was introduced, a diversity of jobs were created, and candle makers went away.

    Economists refer to that as "Creative Destruction." Fascinating stuff.

    My old piggy boat mid 68. It came from up North as a replacement and still had the 1st Cav door crest which took a couple days to find some more doors. A few of my photos have the ship with the cav markings. They never give you the good stuff when turning over aircraft to someone else, and neither would we ;0). It got a lot of attention when we brought it home before we went on any nighttime missions until it was air worthy 100 percent. No scavenging in Army Aviation and if there was no part it was RED X ed until there was a part. If you could experience the G Forces the ship took each day you could understand better. On the wash rack near the hangar ready for hourly maintenance. Fun times for the gunner because all I had to do was help clean it until the hangar accepted it and it was clean enough to their satisfaction. I was off for 2 to 3 days to go downtown and mingle with the locals, the crew chief had to stay with the ship.
