I too have more regrets than I care to remember. Most were a result of either my stupidity, insensitivity to others, and immaturity. No excuses for any of that, I am ashamed of some ot what I caused and our family is totally fractured as a result. Sad to say, it is too late to repair any of it.

I've thought long and hard on this and have no regrets.

Regrets, I've had a few, but all in all too few to mention,
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption...
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the highway,
But more, much more than this, I did it my way.

Francis Albert Sinatra (Elvis Prescott also recorded this song)

I have always regretted that I wasn't born rich, handsome and well hung. Well two out three ain't bad, but winning the trifecta would have been great!

My biggest regret in life is not completing College. I left College after one semester I hated it, I wasn't interested in learning English, history Etc. I just wanted to learn Electronics, and become an electrical engineer or technician.
I went to RCA Institute in Manhattan for a few semesters until we moved and travel became impractical. I did very well at RCA Institute was offered a job after my first semester, having to leave was a big regret to me.

Looking back, I don't see things I regret so much as I see things I would have done differently had I had the knowledge, experience and/or maturity to do so. For example, I would have been there for one of my best friends (from GS, HS and college) had I had the knowledge of and experience to recognize hidden depression. He was the most-likeable, talented, top honor student and prom king who won all the awards ,went on to marry his HS sweetheart (arguably one of the most beautiful girls in the school), have two beautiful children and become president of the hometown bank before killing himself. I can't regret not helping him when I'd no idea what was going on, but his death was a learning experience I later put to some constructive use.

It's sad, I work next to an engineer who was very quiet and to himself, but one of the kindest persons I've ever met. I had heard his wife left him from other sauces, but it never came up in discussion with him, many times I, wished it had, I might have been able to help. One day he doesn't show up for work, he killed himself.

I've had a few in my 83 yrs, but none that were terrible as I learned from them and some of them turned out to be positive outcomes.

George Noory on Coast to Coast had a segment on Sinatra and many of his songs were played, Regrets was one of them.
