Of course I know that teen agers will get high on smoking pot but I'm sure they're not going to be hanging around the high school doing it to the point of being able to smell it.

California is very smoke free, don't think you can smoke on the beach and you have to be very far outside of certain buildings to smoke. Not allowed even in the parking lots.

California is a very smoke-free state, but people will always find a way to get around the "smoke-free" thing. Bars and nightclubs are legally suppose to be smoke-free here, but we drove up to a bar in our area and the sign on the front door read....."Come On In AND Smoke!" We could actually smell and see cigarette smoke coming out the door. Don't know why law enforcement allows this, but they do. The place remains open with that sign on the door.

I'm sure some do but I see very few smokers in California these days. I'm always shocked when I go visit in the Midwest how many people I see smoking.

I used to smoke and besides my health, I gave it up because it was getting so difficult to find a place to smoke. Not to mention flying and airports...torture!

I use to smoke cigs, but only like 1 1/2 packs a week. I had smoker tell me "you're not a smoker, I smoke that or more in one day."

Sure am glad that I had stopped just before meeting my wife, b/c she has some asthma and cig smoke gets her to coughing pretty bad.
It wasn't that hard at all for me to quit.

That's about what I smoked in a day. I quit cold turkey and the first week was the hardest. Ive only tried to quit the one time 9 years ago and succeeded. I know I can never take one puff because I'll start again. I have dreams (nightmares) where I'm smoking and wake up in a panic. After all these years of not smoking, I could easily start again. :(

    I didn't start smoking til I was about 26...stupid!!

My husband didn't smoke and always begged me to quit. Sadly he died before I did quit. He would have finally been proud of me.
