Perhaps you would, but we aren't as nice as you are. LOL IOW, absolutely not! Not touching the garbage of someone else. They are just too lazy to put the trash in the bin themselves.
-She asked about putting "bags" in the bin. -I made a funny by implying an alternate human-type definition of "bags" as being the irresponsible parties.
Our complex is suppose to be a non-smoking one, but owner/management does allow residents to smoke in their vehicles. The building across from us, some guy will smoke a cigarette on his patio on the 3rd story. He knows that isn't allowed, but doesn't give a crap. We have young residents that will take their dog out for a walk and take it's leash off. It's written in the Rental Agreement, no smoking except for in a vehicle and that all dogs have to be on a leash when outside the apartment. There are those that just don't care if they get evicted and that eviction shows up on their credit report.
Well, we've decided that if we see anyone smoking on their balcony/patio, and we don't smell it, we aren't going to say a thing to manager. Seems like, currently, the manager has her hands tied in what she can, and can't, do to a resident for doing something against the Leasing Policy. She can't threaten eviction, since evictions aren't allowed right now. When it gets warmer, we have some apartments we will check out. We just signed another Leasing Agreement, so we can't move for another year. But, that's alright, we will cope as well as we can. No more talking, or any kind of interaction, with our next door neighbors or, basically, anyone else that lives here.
Actually, concerning any bags of trash left on the cement by the trash bin, when the bin was only half full, the maintenance girl here opened some bags, found an envelope with the residents address on it, and manager fined that resident. The fine was added onto their monthly rent. The resident was told why the fine was done and how such resident's address was found. IOW, "put your trash into the trash bin or face a fine" is what the manager here says.
So why did they suddenly decide to start enforcing the trash rules? That's one I can get behind. It's unsightly and can attract rodents.
