@Karen McKenzie GMTA! I also inserted video. ABC news showed a scene of Neely singing. Wish they'd shown Patty tossing Susan Hayward's wig into the toilet.
First ever I've heard of it, that Patty Duke passed. She was such a gifted actress too! R. I. P. Patty and thank you.
It's sad to hear of her passing, but she was someone special to me, even though I only knew her on the "screen". The last thing I saw Patty in was where she played the part of the Angel in A Season for Miracles. I also had read some about her battles through life, like many of ours, she was a survivor I remember her being married to John Aston, from The Adams Family I liked to dream that those folks on the silver screen did live happily ever after, but they are the same as you and me Rip Patty, you brought a lot of happiness, fun, and entertainment to my life denise
Wow, I forgot she played the part of Helen Keller, she was amazing in that role!! Patty Duke as Helen Keller After watching this clip again, and thinking of Helen Keller, I had to laugh at the thought of people with all, 5 senses, thinking we "know" something.
How I loved The Patty Duke show. She was amazing because I really "believed" she was cousins, but play both parts of Patty, and Kathy. She was really a wonderful actress for sure @Krissttina Isobe , denise
.
Didn't see that one coming. Ever hear that "Hollywood celebrities/well known people always die in threes" thing? I've noticed many times that it really does seem to happen that way. Which reminds me... I've been wanting to check up on Valerie Harper and keep forgetting. Maybe I'll do it now since I'm thinking of it. Anyhow, most of Patty's work was "before my time" so to speak, but I've seen a number of her movies and shows as retros.
She was a very fine actress Patty Duke. I have seen her in several things she did over the years, including The Miracle Work and her TV Series. I was stun to hear about her death, and how she die from an intestinal leak. I know from personal experience having nearly lost a loved one to such a situation how serious that is if a person doesn't get help immediately. As for Valerie Harper last I heard she was still doing well due to her treatments. However, you could say that we did get it in threes, James Noble who made a name for himself as the Governor as the long running series Benson recently died and so did Merle Haggard who was a country western legend.
Haggard, yes, I heard that. I'm not familiar with James Noble... oh wait, Benson. Yes, maybe I can picture him. I'm not sure how much time has to pass for that that "in threes" thing to be valid, but I know it's pretty close together. The one I remember most (well, almost remember hehe) is that Princess Diana and Mother Teresa were just a few days apart and I can't remember who the third was, but I know there was one. When Lucille Ball died, there were three. And there have been many many times when someone said to me "there's one" and "there's two" when a third did indeed closely follow. From what I noticed, it's not a matter of "well sure, people die every day" because months go by between the "sets of three." I'm going to go investigate a little bit and if I find anything interesting, I'll start a new post about it.
