Yeah...I lived in Long Beach in the late 1950's. We used to go to the "Nu-Pike" frequently. The roller coaster was known as the "Cyclone Racer". I went on it just once, and it scared me so much on the first plunge that I bit my cigarette in half and swallowed it. I would ride the Bumper Cars as long as I had dimes! Hal
I just read an article on a coaster they're opening in Canada, I immediately knew it was the next item on my bucket list. It looks like there's little chance that you'll get off it with clean drawers on.
During WW 2 I went to Palisades Amusement Park across from NYC on the Hudson River with my older sister And later during the war years I went to Coney Island. After moving to California after the war I went to the Amusement Park at Santa Cruz.
