My son was 43 when I finally took that final step. I was 31, so we do take our time. Conversely, My one brother was 21 and my sister 19. Not for me at all. My youngest brother never married, but that's another story.
Some forums will boot folks who start pulling the, Hi beautiful nonsense when someone tries to friend you. There are dating sites for just that.
And like me and my Honey....Ken and Michelle...and others who met online and have been happily married for years.
I'm flirting practitioner. When my wife and I are shopping together, and I see a cookie who has eyes to swing, I'll let it roll... At times when I get into a conversation with a strange lady, and she has pets, I'll introduce her to my wife, who graciously exchanges pleasantries and discusses their mutual pet interests. I agree with this. I think that's one reason why so many people hook up with coworkers...they get a chance to observe each other over a long period of time in a variety of situations. I'm still not certain what caused the topic to be raised in the first place.

People do it a lot these days. This is what happens when we move beyond small communities and commingle with strangers. The upside is we get greater genetic diversity.
