Gorgeous day today; sunny and 73°F. I have gotten a lot done; 2 loads of laundry, washed some windows, did some weeding of the flower beds. I had to stop with the gardening when I started getting those dang muscle cramps again. We ate an early dinner since the groceries came with a hot rotisserie chicken. I just got the kitchen cleaned and now have my feet up and some coffee to sip.

My husband has been feeling poorly since last Thursday. He has some pain in his abdomen and hasn't had any appetite. According to me and Dr. Google, his symptoms seem to indicate diverticular disease, though he doesn't have any fever so no infection. I hounded him until he called his gastro doctor and made an appointment for this Thursday.

He's been on a liquid diet for the most part, with little bits of oatmeal or scrambled egg or chicken soup. Today he was hungry and asked for biscuits and eggs for breakfast (he never eats breakfast) so hopefully that's a good sign. He also ate a little rotisserie chicken and some boiled new potatoes for dinner so I'm happy that he feels like eating something. He is very seldom sick so this distresses me.

My husband went to his gastro doctor today and has a referral for a PET scan. We need to call tomorrow and get it set up. I'm worried about him because he never complains about anything but I can tell that he is not feeling well; he has lost his appetite which is very unusual. He had a colonoscopy recently so the doctor does not recommend that again, thank goodness. I suppose we are just getting to the age where things are not going to work as well as they used to.

Adding our prayers for your husband, @Beth Gallagher , and hoping this turns out to be something not serious. Did you gastronomy doctor have any possibilities of what might be going on , so you have some ideas what this might be from ?

Thanks so much, everyone. @Yvonne Smith , the doctor didn't offer any possibilities but we are thinking it may be diverticular disease because of the symptoms. I'm glad there's going to be a scan because it's not easy to get that man to a doctor.

We finish clearing out the house of contents on Monday. It was heartbreaking watching them toss 48 years of memories that we lived here. Good news is that construction started.
My wife is generally doing okay like all seniors we have good and bad days. I've been sick for about a little over week, it started with a sore throat then nasal congestion now I just have a very heavy cough, at the same time I was having pain in my lower right around the bottom of the ribs cage. Had an abdominal ultrasound yesterday the results will take a couple of days my wife thinks I'm having gallbladder issues. Just in case I've been drinking fresh squeezed lemons mixed with water they say that can dissolve gallstones. I think it might be a pulled muscle from working clearing the house.

Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well and I hope you feel better soon. I had my GB removed in 2012; it was a laparoscopic procedure and very easy recovery... the surgeon went in through my navel! Not a single scar to show for that.

I don't remember you saying, but was the house a total loss or are they rebuilding part of it? At any rate, I'm glad construction has started. Are the mobile homes a rental deal or how will they be disposed of when the house is ready?

The pharmacy called and apparently the doctor sent a Rx for my husband. We're kind of puzzled about what type of medication since there didn't appear to be any diagnosis made. Also, the soonest he could get an appointment for the scan is April 24, and it will be a CT... not a PET. I was mistaken about that.

As far as construction goes the outside structure ( framework) Is in good condition, Except for the boards that were actually in the fire they are gonna be replaced. They will be replacing all the electrical wires to code, and the 2 power electrical boxes will be one. We will be replacing baseboard heat with hot air, so we can install central air. Our living room, kitchen, hallway and dinning room floors never matched, They will be leveling them. We are converting the den Which is downstais to our bedroom, We won't have to climb the stairs any longer. There are many other modifications.
The 2 mobile homes are rentals paid for a by insurance company They will be removed once we're back in the house.
