My husband had the shingles and that was all I needed to see. I got the newer Shingrix vax .. it's a 2 dose vax. Honestly .. it was probably the most uncomfortable shot I've ever gotten but compared to what I watched my husband go through .. that's nothing. If it works then that is awesome .. if not then at least I tried.

I get all the shots .. I have COPD and can't afford to have anything take me down because any time I get sick it goes straight to my lungs.

I have never had a bad reaction to any vaccine other than some soreness so I will continue to do the preventative treatments so I can stay alive and keep torturing my husband :)

Should you get shingles, you would pay anything for it to go away, so why not protect yourself now.....
We paid $90.00 each for the vaccine.

Welcome to the forum, @Sharon Tru . I am confused by the post, however.

I think her reply to Steves post got inside the quote.

Think her reply is the last sentence and I agree with her...I need to get the two new ones.

    Also....welcome from me also. :)

I may well regret not getting a vaccination for shingles. It would be free with my plan, but I just don't trust vaccinations much.

Ive never had an adverse reaction to a shot, even when the nurse said that the tetanus shot I got a few years ago usually hurts and the arm can be sore but it wasn't for me.

I'll also get the flu shot this year...just because I have all this anxiety about my health and Ive lost weight because of it and I can't afford to lose anymore by being sick with the flu.

Some people get a mild case of the shingles but if you've ever been around someone with a severe case....you'd be going out now for that shot.

That's when I got my first one years ago...when I saw my ex screaming in pain and he was no baby!!
