I don't often have pineapple here in the UK, but when on vacation I love it, we had a lot while in Sri Lanka recently and it's the best I have ever tasted I must admit. I guess it's the way it's handled and treated for transporting to our supermarkets that robs them of much of their flavour.

@Terry Page, I think we have pretty good tasting pineapples in The US but the best ones I've had were in Maui.
