That would be nice, but what I'd really like would be to be able to taste what they're cooking, especially when it comes to cooking competitions like Masterchef. I'd love to know whether I agree with the judges that they've chosen the best food as the winner.
I'm not sure if it was in Hongkong Disneyland or Singapore's Universal Studios that we experienced the 5D show. The chair was moving in consonance with the video on the screen that was showing a moving cart. When the cart hit the end of the road and water splashed, oh, there was real water that splashed on our faces. Entering a cave, the cart moved under the spider's web that we also felt in our head. And when the cart went kaput due to overheating, there was the smell of burning rubber. That was one hell of a show that really surprised us. You can imagine the screaming and shouting of the audience.
I'm not sure I would like to have a TV that gives you the smells of something. Yeah it may sound like an interesting idea, but imagine if you were sick with a stomach virus and how to smell food. I don't think so, unless there was a way to mute the smell like you can mute the sound. Also, can you imagine how much such a TV would cost when it first came out.
