We called, long ago, weird or exceedingly eccentric persons "flakes", or "flaky". I never heard "snowflake" used in the context it is here, but what do I know in my narrow-minded, prejudiced world? Considering the events at both Waco and Ruby Ridge, where all the govvies stood to lose was "face", quite a number of people were needlessly slaughtered. Given the degree of secrecy they have maintained over the years regarding Area 51, it should not surprise me any more than Janet Reno's taking "full responsibility" for murdering a bunch of folks at Waco, including some 25 children, claiming the children were being molested (so what do you do, kill them???), a claim at Area 51 of "Secrecy vital to the safety of our Nation" might justify the killing of people. And have they got homes for these aliens to go to? This is rather like the animal activists who released guinea pigs destined for laboratories. Well-meaning, but they suddenly found themselves with a large number of guinea pigs and didn't have any plan for taking care of them.
I believe that "snowflake" was originally applied to those, particularly the younger ones, who couldn't accept that Hillary had lost the 2016 election.
I think the government should sue the "organizer" and send him the bill for the deployment of military, the associated cleanup, and any vandalized property.

You are absolutely correct. Taxpayers should not have to pay for these people's obvious brain malfunction.

The organizer definitely needs some comeuppance but I also think that those who even get arrested should have to scoop poop and garbage in Las Angeles or San Francisco until the Area 51 aliens say the fine is paid.
