Radar got up 35 mintues ago. Went to a doorway and sat for 35 mintues just looking at us. Mark just offered him a tiny piece of chicken..ate it...but he is not moving around.I think he is body pain of some sort. Going to hop off here and try to tend to my 'little man's. Will update tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for your help and concern.
Awake since 1:45. We both just finally got up. Radar has not moved all night- tried to bite me when giving water. Hospital opens at 7:30 we will take him then. We have to find a flat surface to slip under the rug he is laying on on order to carry him without causing him pain. Gonna be a long day for us , will update asap.
Gloria, I am hoping that the vet can tell what happened and do something to help your dear puppy. It sounds like he must be in a lot of pain, and I know that you must be preparing yourselves to hear the worst. I know how hard this is, and I know that @Chrissy Cross went through this with her beloved Pickles, too. Just know that we all love you and are here to send you hugs and prayers, and hoping for the best for you and Radar.
The fact I have been awake since 1:45 last night and going on adrenalin non stop..I am pooped out. This is a day from hell but bottom line is After blood work ,pain shot, fluid shot and whatever else was looked over and over thinks gastro issue. Pancreas and organs look good. Two things were a bit high..no worry. Vet will call to check on him tomorrow. Radar has cost is less than in 7 years than any of the other dogs we have had so can't really complain. We skipped xrays for now. He seems some better now. Gave him med to make hungary. Pain shot only for today. Hopeful tomorrow he will be even better.Thank you all again for concern and prayers. Pets become our family and we must take care of them best we can.
Radar is sickly again. I was looking for this thread and thought he was sick around this time last year. After $486 dollars last year they were not sure what was wrong with him, so unless he gets much worse will hold off taking him in. This time poo issues, a bit listless ,and can tell he does not feel well. I just gave him some water via a baster, To bad he can not tell me where it hurts. He will be 13 years old on Aug 15th.
Is it possible that there is some kind of plant he might be eating that comes out this time of year? Do you spray for weeds or insects this time of year? It sounds like something that he is eating, drinking, or inhaling that is seasonal. It sure sounds like poisoning of some kind.
he is and has always been a house bound dog. He never touches plants..only likes food...I do wonder if he picked up something off the floor that di not agree with him. He seems a tad better today.
Our little Becky did the same hting she tried to bit us ,so sorry your little dog is going through this @Gloria Mitchell . Be extra kind to her we lost Becky several months ago after such an episode.Glad vet appt is soon.
