Reminds me of this old song from Showboat. Always liked these old type songs like Old Rivers by Brennan and the one in Showboat .

 

We sang this as kids, Lead Belly wrote and sang this song in 1940.

 

Merle Travis wrote this song in 1947 about his brother working in the coal mines

Just FYI... "Jethro Tull" is the name of the group, not an individual.

 

I knew that Beth but don't always make myself clear.
