    @Jerry Adams
    Good comparison! I've had my share of problems with "green" firewood!

    Does any SO member have any experience with SHC?
    My personal experience was on a Sunday morning in Napa, California 1965 I was a witness to the results of the event that must have occured sometime Saturday evening. After much research and investigation we determined that it was a Wick Phenomenon

    That was going to be my answer too Lon. I have always been fascinated by SHC. I recall watching a SHC experiment using a pig. It convinced me.

    About the highest blood alcohol level ever recorded is 1.5%. Blood with this mix just can't burn.
    I'm not discounting all other possible causes, but if SHC does occur, it must come from a burn source outside the body and not from within.

    In the case that I was involved in the decedent had been sitting in a chair in front of a TV with highly inflammable Kapok cushions while smoking a cigar Everything burnt and fell through a two inch oak tongue & groove flooring
