Ive heard Arizona is good for people with arthritis so maybe Colorado will be also. Arthritis isn't too big a problem for me although I do have some osteoarthritis in my lower spine according to my MRI or x ray. Also some bulging discs but no nerves are involved which is good....I guess.
ooooh I'm pleased you're getting that Sheldon, my father had PD, and didn't get any PT at all. How far has your PD progressed?
While I was there once I saw them working on a lady with balance problems. Hopefully they'll be able to help you @Sheldon Scott. I never saw that woman again but that doesn't mean anything, I seldom see the same people.
I remember, after my rotator cuff surgery here, I was at PT and, no matter what the therapist did, this lady was crying. Crying so much, the therapist stopped and had her go home. A few high-pitched yells came out of her as well. I did ask my therapist about the lady and he told me that she had had a pretty serious injury that required surgery. Sure hopes the lady is better now.
Ive never seen anyone cry in PT....but I can imagine PT after surgery is a lot more painful than what I was getting treated for...a frozen arm/shoulder. Now they're just working on my back in general and I have a feeling that after I finish up these therapies (about 3 more) I'm done. I don't have an appt til Jan. 24 anyway since I'll be at my daughter's babysitting. I asked for a printout of the stuff I can do at her house....just have to commit and do it. I doubt insurance will pay for anymore. Kind of using them as a gym now. I start out on the bike to get my heart rate up. In the back where they have all their equipment I see people doing very hardcore stuff...I think these must be personal trainers and their clients. It looks like army boot camp and I do see some older women sometimes...impressive. These people are very fit and what they do makes me hurt just watching them.
