The Nazca Lines – Located in South America, etched into a high plateau in Peru’s Nazca Desert, a series of ancient designs stretching more than 50 miles has baffled archaeologists for decades. Along with simple lines and geometric shapes, they include drawings of animals, birds and humans, some measuring more than 600 feet across. Because of their colossal size, the figures can only be appreciated from way up in the air —and there is no evidence that the Nazca people, who inhabited the area between 300 B.C. and 800 A.D., invented flying machines. According to ancient alien theorists, the figures were used to guide spaceships as they came in for a landing, and the lines served as runways.
The Nazca lines have puzzled people for a long time, as have some of the lines in Britain. No one seems to know why they were created. Keep looking, @Shirley Martin !
It is fun to speculate and we should all be curious, that's how great things are achieved. I doubt it was as you say, having watched several programmes on the subject and the most compelling for me is that we 'cannot' replicate the achievements, even with todays tools and technology.
How and why. How, can be done with plans, first on a small scale, then mathematically on large scale. Why? I think in tribute to their gods.
@Lulu Moppet - appreciate your comment above and your belief For me - I have to evaluate the info given and that's my reason for my belief - I doubt we will ever know for certain
There is a lot of interesting evidence that a highly advanced civilization existed several thousands of years ago. All over the world are ancient monuments, built for reasons that we can only guess at, just as we speculate on HOW they were even built back then. Some people think that we might have been visited by an advanced people from another world, and that we were genetically modified at that time to make humans a more usable species. This could explain why there were different types of early humans. This is called “intervention theory”, and Lloyd Pye has written at least one interesting book about this, called “Everything you know is wrong”, and this can also be watched as a YouTube video. Another thought is that we live in a created world, and that the early civilizations were much more advanced than we are now, possibly because of the fallen angels that came down and intermingled with humans at that time, and taught us some of their skills and technology. In any case, we can tell that people traveled pretty much all over the world about 5,000-6,000 years ago, and they built stone monuments (at least that is what we call them), as well as used technology that we can’t duplicate even now. We mostly hear about the pyramids in Egypt, or South America; but we actually have those in many other parts of the world, and some are even larger than the Great Pyramid of Giza. Because they were built so many eons ago, they have since grown over until they just look like a natural part of the landscape, but have been identified when measurements are taken. The Nazca lines are really amazing, and I think we might have another thread about them already, and there is also something called “ley lines”, which are a series of interconnecting lines that go around the whole earth, and seem to intersect with some of the main antique monuments, like the pyramids and (I think) Stonehenge, and other notable places.
@Joe Riley - thought you might like this Joe I've been chatting with me darlin' on this subject and he says to me - 'there were 2 Aliens sitting on a bench having a cuppa and a ciggie, behind them, stands a near finished pyramid. One alien says to the other - don't know why this pyramid has to be so perfect - no one is ever gonna believe we built it anyway '……
