@Bill Boggs , you already know I am a fan of your writing. So yes I agree with the others that you should keep at it. Even the bad times have value to our offsprings. They allow our younger generation to see where some of their good and bad traits come from. I know that at times I wondered where I got this or that trait from. It gave me strength to hear how my elders survived their trials and errors. My Umatilla Indian grandparent and parent lived through some really bad times, and many of their own making, Stories of those who were alcoholics, and the problems that it caused them and other taught me much. Because of such stories I know where my sense of humor, or my sense of responsibility come from. It sort of gives us a sense of where and who we come from. Without the telling of our rough times, the younger generation do not see that they must fight and struggle for what they make of their own lives. If they only see the good parts, it leaves them to thinking that life should be easy.
I continue to add an occasional something to the blog for the grandkids. This is not turning g out like I hoped. Something is missing. https://firstsooner.wordpress.com
