Still working on those firewood racks, so when I made my daily Lowe's run, I went to Subway and got a tuna salad sub, with lots of onions & green peppers.

I'm supposed to have something light to eat before chemo, so I had a ham sandwich on wheat bread with lots of lettuce.

I've been craving a good gyro recently and there are no Greek restaurants closer than the state capital 40 miles away, so I tried Arby's. Arby's is drive-thru only here, and gyros are on the 2/$6 menu. So I got 2 of them.

I'm still craving a good gyro. They were not bad, but they were not Greek, either. All those calories wasted...

I live alone and did a 2.5# chuck roast of them, so I just might be living out your fantasy. Thank goodness for freezers and vacuum seal bags. But they are good after having sat for a while. And it took no time at all to hammer off a chunk, throw it in a saute pan with some water, and simmer it to serving temp.

@Beth Gallagher got me started on them.

I can remember a trip we were on. We were driving to visit a friend in San Diego and had stopped in Sedona Arizona. We went to a fine restaurant recommended by staff at the motel. Ordered a nice prime rib and got a cup of white stuff. Never had horseradish but that put it on my radar forever.

It's tough to eat any kind of roast beef without it, especially prime rib. I've had it fresh grated. Talk about clearing your sinuses!!!

I mixed some mayo with some horseradish and put a few drops of Worcestershire sauce in it, then threw it on the sandwich.

Stir fry, in toasted sesame oil: Tomatoes, green onions, carrots, celery, cabbage, fried tofu, turmeric, garlic, rosemary.

    On top of:

Noodles: Rice noodles, drained, and then: sweet and sour sauce, garlic, dark cane syrup, soy sauce, a squeeze of lime.
