I had some of my tomato gazpacho (second batch) heated up to make hot soup, and a slice of my WW bread with hummus on it. Bobby is having some of his prime rib with bread and gravy.
@John Brunner i sent Kentucky Legend and email, told them we are spreading the word on here about their ham. Anyways I had a Kentucky Legend ham sammich with tater chips
Did you really???? Good for you! I was in Walmart yesterday and bought a 1.5# "butt-end" package of their thick-sliced turkey and a 2.5# "butt-end"package of their thick-sliced ham. Send them another email!!! The ham was good (one thick slice on rye with Swiss)...I haven't tried the turkey yet. I'm gonna have to freeze some of it. As a strange aside, the turkey & ham were in one of those big deep stand-alone refrigerated coolers (kinda like a chest freezer without a lid) with a hodge-podge of different ham products from different manufacturers all tossed together like a toy box, as opposed to having they're own dedicated shelf space. There were only a couple packages of K.L. turkey in there, and small quantities of a few different K.L. ham products. (Walmart doesn't carry their thin-sliced lunch meats like Food Lion does.) One of the K.L. hams had an expiry date of early February and another had an expiry date of early March!!! I couldn't find an employee to pull them.
Oh wow, never have had expired ones before. But you have to watch that everywhere, especially now since people are getting paid to stay home vs work!. Ye s same type of fridge bin is used here also. And yes I did send the email
Toay is Mother's day and for lunch we're having chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and cream gravey and green beans. Think I'll have a cup of black coffee with lunch
Turkey burger on onion roll with some drippings of my goulash on it..and half piece of cheese..and tater chips
