Since I'm recovering from a tooth extraction & dental surgery, I got out the Vitamix & blended romaine, cucumber, spinach, carrot, almonds & frozen mango. After 5 sips I was stuffed.
Daughter and I made everything for two days lunches. Homemade Ranch Dressing (with a new ingredients cream swirled cheeses garlic and parsley) Defrosted fresh cooked diced chicken, added lettuce, dressing and sun dried tomatoes in olive oil and mozzarella cheese. Dumped into flour tortillas. Grabbed a bag of sliced fresh leeks and added 2 large potatoes and made creamy leeks and potato potage. Finishing with 2 squares of brownies and cup of coffee. Yummy tummy...

A bit backward today... Do, info for dinner first then info in lunch lol lol lol... Having Spaghetti on the Thumb for dinner with buttered bread. Yummy! Had baked potato with baked beans and haggis for lunch. Would love to get some "Tres Leches Cake" aka scrumptious caramel Turkish milk cake. I might have to take one recipe off YouTube and just make one for daughter and I.
Well, not surprising, but the weather wasn't as predicted just over 8 hours ago. So, we didn't go shopping, bummer! Anyway, fish and chips will probably be for dinner as it's Friday. Fir lunch, it was a comfort foodie galore. Chicken broth noodles soup and toasted tomato sandwiches. Later y'all lol
Having homemade BLT/Club Sandwiches with Spicy Tomato Rice soup for me and Lentil/Bacon for daughter. Probably leftover pizza for dinner, but who knows... undecided
Toasted sandwiches with Roast Beef, tomato, lettuce and more. However, it's the soup that I want to tell about, it's a new brand for us. Bramwell's is a maker of canned goods, available both Lidl and Aldi. The one I thoroughly enjoyed today for lunch was Spicy Ride and Tomatoes. Yum!
I don't believe the Bramwell's brand is available this side of the pond, even though the ALDI here and in the UK are the same company (Aldi Süd.) We have Deutsche KÜche, which is ALDI's private line of German food, including canned soups. We also have Chef's Cupboard, which is also an ALDI brand of canned soup and powdered soup mixes. They are both pretty good, excepting the salt levels (the universal problem with most canned soups.) I got a Spicy Lentil soup at ALDI some time ago that was very good, but I can't always find it. Toss in a little cooked chicken with a salad & flat bread on the side, and it makes a very good meal.
Stewed Steak in a rich beef sauce, served on wild rice. Dessert, fresh from the oven croissants with strawberry preserve. Small glass of cola sugar free and now enjoying cup of coffee.
