And of course, the 2020 Dem contenders are beating the "white nationalist" drum. So predictable.

But that's just a "shoot the messenger" comment. Sows division in a different way. Discussion of the subject would be better.

Just seen the news on TV and coverage of the mourners. Vast majority, white - of all ages ...….sobbing
A Muslim man stated 'this is the most peaceful place on Earth' - how very sad to hear those words after such an
horrific event. My heart cried for him and all of NZ
The Prime Minister walked amongst them and hugged the grieving - a lovely lady indeed to be sure
The whole scene was extremely moving and affected me deeply - I hope all those that are full of misguided hate
will watch those scenes and a miracle takes place in their hearts

More than a hundred Nigerian Christians reported killed now, yet we have media silence, while New Zealand is still very much in the news.

@Ken Anderson - Its OK, I get your point now, just had a coffee
Its the same with all 'new' events they will be covered for days and rightly so, in the case of Nigeria
this has been going on a long time and the Government seem to do nothing to curb it
In the case of New Zealand, the shock was great as you never hear of anything awry going on there
the news will continue on a lesser scale, till the victims are buried

Ken, Ken, Ken. Now you know "they" spoon feed the news they want us to have. (Not to say that the horror in NZ doesn't deserve front page headlines; only that we all know the state of MSM.)

About twenty days before the New Zealand shooting, about forty Christians were murdered in Nigeria. Silence from the media. Now that number has been raised to more than a hundred, but the media is still talking about New Zealand. Apparently, Muslim lives mean a whole lot more than Christian lives, and black lives only matter when they are liberal black Americans.

As a nation, we are not as interested in the fate of Nigeria as we are regarding New Zealand, a democracy and ally. Perhaps we should be, but then we would have to intervene in Nigerian affairs and our interference has not been successful lately. When I want international news, I usually turn to BBC.

I look to the BBC when I want to catch up on foreign news, too, @Lulu Moppet. U.S. media seldom covers things outside North America, and it doesn't do a very good job of that. There are also sites on the 'net where you can get the Russian, Chinese, Aussie, and others' points of view on things.

I watch a lot of crime documentaries, many from Australia. Some of the criminals there are just brutal and over the top. I really have confidence in your investigators and legal system. I get frustrated with the European ones where someone can murder 2 people and get 10 years.

Yes. One of our worst is Ivan Milat.. murdered 8 tourists.. both Australian and foreign and dumped their bodies in a forest south of Sydney. This animal has now paid for his crimes with 8 life sentences.. soon to join the dark one below as he is dying from cancer. Another of our maniacs was mass murderer Martin Bryant .. slaughtered 30 something tourists in Tasmania. Yes Australia has had its fair share of brutal criminals.
