It's a shame you can't pursue your other arts now Ina, I remember the postings of your pottery which was beautiful, hopefully you will find rewards in your weaving, you are very talented, sadly something I lack, I can only appreciate others creations.
Love it. The photos, the idea of a meal in a small out of the way place, as it were, and the music. Sir, Terry, that is living.
My favorite Dmitriev? Oh, by far the white linen, table, and chairs in a field of bright red poppies anticipating an afternoon tea for two. Totally unexpected and questions are left for the viewer to answer…to imagine themselves in the picture using all their senses of sight, smell of flowers, sound of silence except birds and the breeze and soft conversation, feel of the warm sun, and the taste of afternoon tea delights.
Thanks Bill, I do feel blessed that I can live such an interesting life of travel at my time of life, and more importantly have the good health to be able to. I just wish I had your talent Bill to make my travels into a good yarn. @Bill Boggs
I commenced the monumental task of de-cluttering at the beginning of this week, I started with my bedroom and have so far got rid of half the clothes in my wardrobe, some of which were even more out of date than I am I put them in various charity bags which are picked up here on a weekly basis. I also went through several drawers full of all manner of stuff from old birthday cards, to piles of various gadget cables and chargers I managed to fill several refuse sacks of junk. I still have a long way to go and then have to move on to my cinema/theatre room, which is chock full of more than 2000 movie DVDs plus several desktop computers and umpteen laptops, and a drawerful of hard drives ..................then there is the garden shed but I am not even thinking that far ahead............ I can see this becoming a lifetime project, but it feels good to have at least started. I did have a day off today and went shopping for some new summer clothes, having just disposed of my old ones......
I bet the charity that got your clothes from kindergarten will be happy. I'm impressed with what you've accomplished. I need to do the same. Got any motivational hints besides get off your ipad.
Stop going on forums they are addictive, I find I just start these projects for no apparent reason, it's as if something inside clicks and the motivation follows. Once I get going I am OK and everything seems to flow. A wise teacher once told me to simply start, however small a step, just start...............the problem is how do you just start
