The French Foreign Legion - Mon Dieu, Does That Thing Still Exist?

In 1958, a Legionary of "13" (13th Demi-Brigade of Foreign Legion) in operations in the Jebel, Algeria, found this starving donkey. The legionnaire brought him back to the base and the animal became the mascot of the unit under the name "Bambi".

At least their uniforms look better than the Spanish Foreign Legion.
They just don't look quite 'combat comfy' and I don't think they can run in those pants.
