Even though I do appreciate any "thank you for your Service" I get from people on Veteran's Day or another other day, but something to remember: We didn't win in Vietnam. And, if the Draft wasn't going, many who joined other militaries to avoid getting drafted, wouldn't have gone in the military at all. Before I graduated from high school in 1968, I knew if I didn't enlist in something, the Draft would get me. So, I enlisted in the Navy. I knew the Navy wasn't that involved in the fighting.

I honor and respect all the Air and Ground Forces that were in the heat of fighting in Nam, but am sure glad I didn't get involved in that.
