@Marifrances Latham, both Westworld and Man in the High Castle are excellent, and based on stories written by talented writers, Michael Crichton and Philip K. Dick. Michael Crichton, in particular, was an amazing man. The amount of research that he did for each book he wrote was astonishing, particularly considering that pretty much every book was about an entirely different subject.
Remember reading "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" in the 60's. That started me off reading the rest of his stories. My intro to Michael Crichton was the movie "Andromeda Strain".( the 1971 one ) What a great idea for a novel; bringing back something from our space adventures.
The movie based on that book was called Blade Runner. In an interview, he said that every one of his books were based on scientific possibilities.
