I know that he registers as a Republican, but has Colin Powell ever agreed with anything that a Republican has done?

I think Colin Powell is bitter about having to go before the U.N. and put forth the lie about WMD's in Iraq. Can't blame him.

The antifa calls everyone Nazi but let’s look at what happened in Germany with the Nazi they used brown shirts to terrorize people and the police stood down. Next the German dis banded the police and replaced them with the brown shirts. Then the new police/brown shirts controlled everything and became part of the Nazi dictatorship.
Change brown shirts for antifa and you can see what is going on.

I checked. Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. So basically, that news items simply says that a Democrat doesn't think he's going to be voting for Trump in 2020.

We've had our own righteous goings on
The Labour party (democrats) have already taken down a statue to show they are with the demonstrator's
no problem as such - its their sickening stance and manner about it all. If they felt that strongly, it could have been
    done years ago.
Really dislike 'false' show of solidarity

They are making BLM a big deal but it was compromised years ago from a ground roots movement. Now they are used to get money for who? there is a web page so you can donate to the movement but if you go into where the money goes only to find out it goes to Democratic politician. first picture shows the web site and the second show where the money goes.

Martin, where did you find the second page. I went to BLM web site and couldn't find the other page. Could you direct me to it?

It is when you do some research and find where the donation link takes you [ACTBLUE] and then see where the money goes. It now has been exposed on many web pages.

The money donated to BLM goes to an organization called Actblue, and they re-distribute the BLM money to the Democratic and socialist politicians.
If you check out this video, it shows both sites, although it doesn’t completely show where all of the donations go to Democrat fund-raising.
It explains how a person can actually get political ads which are paid for from places like China, or other overseas donors.

If you look at the Actblue website , there is a l its of the Democratic candidates where the donated money goes.

Well from where I sit it seems they are putting their donations where they will have the most effect! Is something wrong with that? Obviously a very very large group of people stand behind the message that BLM stands for. Yep just people, plain old citizens that are sick and tired of regressive politics and police brutality. Why on earth would you object to that?
When you purchased your MAGA hat, your thin blue line flag and your trump banner do you know where the money went.

Again, when talking "police brutality", how about any of us being an officer for one day/night and trying to apprehend a person that is resisting arrest.

All I can say is.........how will any of us feel, if at any time, we need an officer, call "911" and find the number no longer exists!

For the most part, I see you as a good-hearted person who cares about his fellow man, @Peter Renfro . If what you believe is happening , WAS what was actually happening, it would still be wrong; but not as bad as it actually is.
As @Martin Alonzo mentioned, people donate to the BLM organization with the belief that they are going to make life better, and more equitable for black people, which is exactly how things should be. No person should ever be discriminated against for how they were born, and something that they can’t change.
Donations should go to help the people they are meant to help.

What upsets me, is that this is simply something that actually hurts more people than it helps, and does not support black people (or any other people) to have a better lifestyle. Charities are not supposed to be political, but the money that comes in donations to help black people, is then funneled through the democratic foundation that takes all of the donations for democrats running for office, and has nothing at all to do with helping black people.
The way this happens is horrible !
They either use a legitimate offense, or one is set up that looks real, and then people are led to believe that they need to protest and riot in order for equality to happen.

The riots happen in poor neighborhoods , for the most part, and often these are predominately black neighborhoods.
Businesses that are owned by black people are robbed and burned down, black policemen are killed, churches are burned, and the money that is donated to help doesn’t go to help these people who have lost their homes and business, and now can’t even buy groceries because the grocery store was burned down, or trashed and boarded up.

This is completely WRONG ! !
It is NOT a coincidence that these riots happen just before a major election, just like the ones in Ferguson, Missouri, happened before the last election. The money is funneled off from where it is supposed to go, and funds political campaigns, as opposed to helping the people it was supposed to help.
These donations need to be actually helping people live a better life, and to help rebuild businesses and homes and lives of black people who have suffered because of these protests and riots !

Another problem with donating to help blacks have a better life is that.........gangs will try, and highly succeed, in ruining an upgraded black area. Gangs have a way of definitely doing that.
