My nephew sent this newspaper clipping today. The contents would have been unheard of, not too many years ago. The Attorney General's stand here is in contradiction to every Law Enforcement position I have heard in the past several decades. The elected as well as the appointed officials seem to be quite concerned about the " will of the people", of course as well it should be. But, as the issue is firearms, much derogatory influence is stirred within the mix. Is it to placate? Ensure future office tenure? Aimed at actually accepting the "Peoples' Will"? Unlikely, that. Because the leaders always know what is best for the people, ALWAYS, even when the people think they are wrong. Certain unusual tactics may be operating here. Consider the black aspects of "Concealed Carry", a way to quietly and unknowingly monitor the peoples' being armed. The authorities are guaranteeing the right of citizens to be armed in public places. Why? Opponents will claim "Vigilantism" will prevail in the streets, resulting in the killing of untold numbers of innocent people. Fact remains that, no matter how much hearts "bleed", certain elements within society deserve to be killed, no matter how cruel and heartless that sounds.
