I copied the last couple of posts to the ammunition thread since it's on-topic in both, given that it discusses guns too.
Those guys make money doing transfers. Most gun shops are fine with it. Of course, you gotta make arrangements in advance. Keep in mind that credit card companies are creating a specific merchant code for gun stores to "keep us safe." So pay cash (or cashier's check or money order) or get a prepaid credit card...I understand that those cards are tracked differently.
They are doing everything they can to keep us from guns. I need some ammo and am afraid to go look at the store I usually get it from, that they might not have it. They even hid the ivermectin during the covid situation. Control!
The credit card companies are setting up a new Merchant Account Code specifically for gun shops. So not only can our purchases be monitored, with the flick of a switch the CC companies can deny any charges that are made there, should they choose to do so.
Other than 22 RF MAG what type of jacketed ammo are you talking about, with decent 22 rf ammo I have never had any barrel issues with regular ammo, but do not know of any jacketed for it other than the mag variety. Please educate me there.
Ruger 10-22 fool proof, cheap, lots of add on's available, good magazines easy to get, ammo easy here to get, decent resale especially if you get a used one cheaper. Zero negatives at all on it.
