If our government really wanted to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, they would control our border. If the various spokespeople for masks and isolation really believed the nonsense they're mandating on the rest of is, they'd wear the damned things themselves, and they'd stay home. I have yet to see any statistics comparing the number of people with symptoms and the number of direct-deaths from one flu season to the next. I believe that is because they have not found an epitope on the rhinovirus that does not change. They had the same issue with influenza until recently, but they have found an epitope common to all known influenza viruses and have been working on a vaccine against that antigen for several years. Now that mRNA vaccines are "safe and effective", perhaps they will use that to produce a "one size fits all" flu shot. Who knows?
