I will say this, since I'm the OP of this thread...…...you folks sure have done great, absolutely GREAT, replies!

Ken stated it right that local and national news can (does) "overdue" things like this, but. There are still plenty of people going to work and other places. Still can see quite a bit of traffic out there.

Anyway, we bought a couple of oranges yesterday and I will, sometimes, have a juice glass of 50% Less Sugar orange juice for breakfast. We also bought some light (less sugar) fruit yogurt yesterday. I read, online, that yogurt can help with stomach flu. Wife is still taking a Cold/Flu OTC tablet, off and on. One thing for sure, she hasn't lost her appetite! Not eating a lot, but usual.

Corona virus attacks the sick now 50% of the USA is on prescription drugs another words sick people. May be we should be looking at curing problems and not just controlling, managing, and treating chronic illnesses.

This virus dies at 80 degrees so global warming is a good thing, Also vitamin C is being used very successfully in China and the deaths are decreasing

A few things to think of that won't be explained to you by the media. First of all, the media has at least two reasons to make things look worse than it is. One, most of the media has taken sides against Trump, and they hope to manage to persuade people that it's all Trump's fault. Barring that, the barrage of pandemic news will harm the economy, robbing Trump of one of his selling points for a second term. Secondly, scaring everyone is good for business because people want to hear the latest news.

One thing they don't explain, as they daily add to the number of people who have tested positive for the Coronavirus, is, first of all, not everyone who is being reported as a victim has the COVID-19 strain of the virus, but has simply caught a common cold, also known as a coronavirus. The other thing is that common sense should tell you that the more people who are tested, the more people who will be found to have the virus. That doesn't mean that it's spreading, necessarily, but that people are being tested for it.

Depending on the news media or the day of the week, they will report on the percentage of people who are likely to recover from the virus; usually, it's in the range of 96-98%. However, you might want to keep in mind that this is not a real number because it is only considering those who are in the pool of people being tested. Usually, this means that they are either just returning from China, have come into contact with people who are known to have the virus, or who are exhibiting symptoms significant enough that they seek medical help.

Many people with the COVID-19 strain of the virus have very slight symptoms, such as the sniffles. Unless they had reason to fear that they had contracted the COVID-19 strain, most of these people won't see a doctor about it, as I didn't about the cold that I had up until a few days ago. They simply increase their Vitamin C and they get over it. Since they weren't tested, they aren't counted among the percentages of people who recover from the virus. This means that this number leaves out most of the people who have only mild symptoms.

While I still had a cold, I saw my doctor for my regular checkup. Although I mentioned that I had a cold, she didn't call the CDC or have me tested for COVID-19. Perhaps because there is still a shortage of test kits, even those who see a doctor with a cold aren't necessarily being tested.

The flu is caught in much the same way as the coronavirus, and far more people die of the flu each year, yet we rarely close schools, cancel major events or ask corporations to allow their employees to work from home during flu season.

Mostly, this is political. By that, I am not suggesting that there is no virus, or even that there is no cause for concern, but the reaction to it is largely political, and after the elections, the media won't find it to be worth carrying on about.

According to the CDC, during the 2019-2020 flu season, there have been from 20,000 to 52,000 flu deaths and 34-49 million cases of the flu. Thus far, there have been 12 COVID-19 deaths in the US.

Yet many of us, including myself, don't know of anyone who has died from the flu. While I have long known that people can die from the flu, I can't think of anyone who I knew who died of the flu. I don't worry so much about it when I get the flu, and I don't get the flu vaccine. As a child, my parents would diagnose and treat it, as we didn't see a doctor for the flu. It wasn't considered that big of a deal, nor was the measles or the mumps.

Oh, I am certain that there will be those here, who will be able to say that they know of people who have died of the flu. I'm not saying it doesn't happen. On the contrary, I am saying that the flu - so far - is a far greater threat than the Wuhan Coronavirus, yet the news has been talking non-stop about the Coronavirus for weeks now. A meteor could drop on a major US city and, unless there were a lot of Democrats there and they could blame Trump for it, the media will ignore it and go on talking about the Coronavirus

I don't know of anyone who has died from the flu. I do know of people who have died as a result of complications from contracting the flu. Usually, they've had a pre-existing condition that weakened their immune system.

Corona virus has a sweet spot which mean the virus does better at 47 degrees and starts dying at 80 degrees. This virus is more dangerous in Fall, Winter and Spring and would do very poorly in Summer. Although there is no pharmaceutical answer to the virus as yet. There is non -pharmaceutical solution being talked about. Dr. John Campbell who has a daily YT information on the virus recommends vitamin D because it has show help. Dr. Bergman well known natural health healer recommends vitamin C because it has been used in china very successfully. Zinc lounges were also recommended. Dr. Glidden a natural path doctor recommends colloidal silver through a atomizer so it enters the lungs where this virus attacks. Interesting the people who are attacked by this virus is the people who have weakened immune systems and the elderly. People under the age of 30 are not dying from this and the average person who died is 80. Of course all recommend washing your hands and staying away from infected people.
Fear from this virus is probably worse than the virus itself. Old story two new viruses were talking one day and one asked the other what you are going to do. The first said I am going to kill 1,000 people. Next year they met the second virus said you said you are going to kill 1.000 people but 10,000 died why? No I only killed 1,000 people but 9,000 died of fear.
This becomes a very important to this forum. Symptoms are dry cough achy muscles fever shortness of breath sore throat.
What I will do and this is not medical advice as I am not a doctor just love being healthy. First taking vitamins all and if the virus gets close increasing vitamin C second to have an atomizer for inhaling colloidal silver or gargling colloidal silver nothing for fever as high temperatures destroy viruses and increase immune system only think I might do is a cold compress to cool the brain as it can suffer from heat. Shortness of breath means you are not getting enough oxygen in your system and this virus attacks the lungs. I have an ozone generator for putting ozone into drinking water this help get oxygen into the blood and bypasses the lungs. I also have ways to electrify the blood to kill any pathogens/virus that are in the blood this comes from a Dr. Bob Beck.
I have to post this now because 6 months from now when the fear is gone on one will be interested

Uh-huh. They forget all about having been duped, which is why most people are always ripe for the next one.

If COVID-19 is meant here, then there has been no evidence so far that it is seasonal. “Just because some respiratory diseases, like flu, demonstrate seasonality doesn’t mean that Covid-19 will,” Maimuna Majumder, a Harvard epidemiologist, says. And if it is seasonal, it’s still dangerous. It would be like the flu, “except potentially with a higher case fatality rate,”Rasmussen says.
