Yes, i agree, Bobby. Great job Beth and Nancy. I'm probably never going to this certain task, but it's nice to know there's always help here when needed. .
Beth, I found file explorer and it didn't show me anything new on the thumb drive...only some pictures I backed up previously from the W7 machine. The W10 doesn't feature pie charts showing how much of the total memory is being used. My W7 'puter had this feature, which I liked. Now I'm looking for a way to list my favorite websites, like I had on my Sweetheart W7 machine. I had: Amazon Craigslist Epinions Google Chrome How Stuff Works Model Trains Old Cars SeniorsOnly YouTube All with their Web Addresses. Hal
I don't remember the pie chart display of storage, but Win10 uses a bar graph. If you click on the little gear for Settings, then click on System, then scroll down to Storage, you'll see a display like this:
No, I click on the Google Chrome tile on my Start Menu. Now how can I permanently disable that stupid "Read Aloud" annoyance? Thanks, Beth... Hal
That Bar Graph is not as easy to recognize as a Pie Chart. Also, W7 announced when I had something new in the In Box by saying "You've got Mail!" W10 is a real let-down compared to my friendly W7 device! Hal
Hal, you might do well to have the Geek Squad visit you again to help get some favorites set up. I'm not sure why they didn't do that, since you had them on your Win 7 machine. They could have copied your browser files so that all your settings would be the same for your website favorites and mail. There are three ways you can turn off the Narrator: Start or stop Narrator In Windows 10, press Windows logo key + Ctrl + Enter on your keyboard. Or... On the sign-in screen, select the Ease of access button in the lower-right corner, and turn on the toggle under Narrator. Or... Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Narrator, and then turn on the toggle under Use Narrator.
Hello...I don't own a Tablet, but I might buy one if I knew that the hundreds of pictures on my thumb drives could be transferred to a tablet. This way, I could bring my pictures to places and people I visit. Hal
Easy peasy... you just plug it in via a USB cable from your computer to your Ipad, and wait for it all to transfer... There's probably a Youtbe video somewhere if you search!!
