    We are having a terrific thunderstorm right now, with rolling thunder that seems to go on for several minutes at a time.

    I put a Touch Sensor on a wrought iron floor lamp a few years ago (the adapter plugs into the wall socket and then the lamp plugs into the adapter so you touch the lamp to turn it on.) The occasional storm will pass through right overhead, but it's not until it's gone and I hear the thunder waaaayyy off in the distance west of me that the lamp will come on...all by itself. It's a 3 level switch (Low/Medium/High), but the storm rarely makes it go above Low. The odd thing is if I cycle it through to Off, then it will turn back on to Low in a minute or so, over and over again...but the spike through the line rarely kicks it above Low. And it never happens when the storm is overhead.
