@Bill Boggs , One of my favorite ways to take pictures is by using the macro setting on my camera. You can get amazing pictures of the world in miniature.
Well, let me see a couple or three. I like the idea but don't know if my little camera can do justice to a macro or even a proper close up. Give me an example or a picture description so I can wrap my mind around it. Thanks for the suggestion.
I needed some way to start a short, short article and stating I bought myself a camera for Christmas was one way to do so. Actually Oklahoma has some beautiful scenery but my problem is getting out and looking for it. Sometime I'm not nearly so Mobil as I sometime sound.
This tiny wild mushroom pic was taken by me using Macro.... you can see clearly where a mouse has taken a bite ... and compare it to the background bark chips for size... ..
@Holly Saunders, Thanks for the suggestion. I wouldn't have guessed a mouse did that out-take. What camera was this photo taken with? In fact I might not have known it was a mushroom. Oklahoma mushrooms look different.
Oh we have loads of different types of wild mushrooms, Bill... That picture was taken on my fuji finepix s5700 Bridge camera , I've had it a very long time, and I'm on the hunt for a new camera now, but I can't find a Bridge with an optical viewfinder which is small enough to keep in my bag... I'd buy a fuji again because daytime shots are great , but the night shots are awful
@Holly Saunders, I fully understand. Hope you can find what you like soon. However you do take very good photos with what you have. Numeerous cameras have short comings after the sun sets, at least on this side of the pond. Fuji over here has some great digital cameras but they are expensive. And I am at an age wheree it would be foolish to buy one even could I afford such a neat camera. In the meantime I look forward to some more macros or whatever you choose to shoot.
@Bill Boggs , here are a few of my macro pictures. Raindrops on my bleeding heart. Ice on red berries. Frost on a dandelion. Frost on leaves.
