I agree I can't spend my life worrying about what might happen. If I think I can do something, I'm gonna try it. Failing at something Is the best way to learn your limitations.
I got another one of the jobs I wanted to do off the to do list today. The patio sliding door, had the screen open last week and the dog ran into it. The frame got bent and my wife and daughter was able to force the door into a position so we could use the glass door. A new screen door is $268. I could see the screen door was off track and it was jammed. After carefully yanking it, it came out. It was bowed on one side I layed it on the grown and step on the bowed part. Put it back on the track it's sliding good. It's not perfect, at least it's working.
In yesterday's (Saturday) mail, I received my yearly Nobel Collection Catalog. I usually receive this catalog around the holidays. They manufacture Movie and TV replicas and memorabilia of high quality. In the past, I have purchased from them, mostly Wizard Wands, from the Harry Potter movie series. I noticed in this catalog that they have a Chess Board using dinosaurs from Jurassic Park as the pieces. My grandson loves dinosaurs, but I'm not so sure about playing Chest. Maybe a nice Christmas gift. They also have what they call plush we call stuffed, horror film characters Frankenstein, Wolfman, and the Creature From The Black Lagoon. They have well over a hundred different Wizards Wands from Harry Potter movies. Each character in the movie has its own special design Wand. It's a must-see catalog if you're a fantasy or horror movie buff. Catalog is well made and very interesting to look through.
Last night it's was the coldest this fall it reached 34°. We have a large Holly tree, which I know has a wild wisteria vine growing through it. During the summer It's hard to tell the wisteria from the holly leaves. They kind of blend together. Now that the wisteria is changed to it's fall gold color, I can see how much it's taken over the Holly tree. I'll have to snip the vines at the ground. I'll have to add it to my to do list. I found a tub of quickcrete fast setting cement. I hope it's still good because today, I will try and patch a Crack in the cement slab, where the shed is going. We purchased the shed from Shed Liquidators. There shed price included installation, however they have a list of things you have to assure that the installation site meets. They want a 3' clearance around the perimeter of the site, which we had a crew here Thursday to take care of that, If you're installing the shed on a cement slab, it should have no cracks. Hopefully I'll take care of the cracks today. There was like 6 or 7 things on the list.I believe we meet the rest of them. There scheduled to put the shed up on the 19th of this month, I can't wait.
The tub of quickcrete fast setting cement I found was good. I just finished patching the cement slab. That's another job to check off my to do list.
My family got back last night from Hershey Pennsylvania. One of the attractions they stopped at my wife really liked Turkey Hill ice cream. She actually liked it better than Hershey Park. They made their own concoction of flavors, sampled various Turkey Hill flavored ice cream with different toppings. Sound like delicious fun. They shop some antique stores where my wife purchased some Christmas tree decorations. I like them. I think they're very pretty, but they do look delicate. She brought me back some fudge and a soup mug. I really enjoy using a soup mug. We never found the ones we had, there's a chance they may still turn up. This morning , I cleaned the pile of junk in my backyard, It's ready for the garbage men. Another job to check off my list.
