Terry, I agree with everyone else! Thanks for posting your pictures, especially the ones from Cambodia. I have a dear friend that is going to relocate to this area in March. He is so excited for his new journey in life. Was wondering, if you used WIFI while over in this area of the world? If so, how was your connection. As I do hope to keep in contact with my friend, he is concerned about the ability to connect with ease. Must say, those pictures of the temples are simply amazing! Did you know they are in the process of uncovering more architectural structures from the past in this area?
Thank you Magalina, funnily enough Lisa my partner's daughter and husband are in Vietnam now and flying to Cambodia on Friday, they are in daily contact using local WiFi with no problems. We found it a bit hit and miss at times as it tends to be in this area, but you can usually get online at either a cafe or a hotel. As your friend is relocating to this area he will presumably want a more permanent set up which is straightforward I would imagine. Though we didn't buy one, you can get a data card for your smart phone or tablet for a few dollars, which will give you 2Gb or more of data for a month. Mobile/cell phone coverage we found to be OK. We were in Indonesia last year and did buy a data card there for $7 which gave us 3Gb of data plus calls and worked really well. Yes there is so much left to be discovered in the area, we found it a completely mind blowing experience I must say, and the people there we found very kind and helpful. What is your friend going to do there if you don't mind me asking.
