There was a season for different Street games. There was a period where all we did was play with tops, some of my friends could make them spin seems like forever. I was never really good at spinning them but I enjoyed trying.

I had those. Then a company came out with plastic ones with a battery, a light and a centrifugal switch...it was probably Duncan. I believe mine had a white body with a clear orange/amber cap.

In the '50s we had a cap bomb or some called as a cap grenade. Later they came out with a cap rocket.

We take the whole roll and put it on the sidewalk and hit it with a hammer or whatever else we had like a rock.

From the not-so-distant past. Bubba loved his wooden train set.

We played that as a party game, like pin the tail on the donkey. If it was nice outside I would take the kids outside and put a chalk drawing of a snail shell on the driveway. " SNAIL" was a Big circle in the center and then concentric line around several times, then, dividing the areas it caused into sections. The kids had to hop into each section to the center whereupon they could choose a segment and mark it as theirs. There they could stop on two feet. If you could not make it to the center, you dropped out till only one kid remained.
