We are packing up and getting ready to head for SeaTac airport. It will be close to midnight by the time we arrive back in Alabama, so a long day of traveling for us. It will probably be tomorrow before I am back here on the forum again. It has been a great trip, I enjoyed seeing my family again, and even going to the wedding was good. Now, I am just ready to be back home and sleeping in my own bed again. When I went down to the little morning breakfast room here at the hotel, the music system was playing “Sweet Home, Alabama “(I’ll be coming back to you...) which seemed to me to be totally appropriate. We have had some excellent West Coast fish and chips, made from cod, and real beer batter, instead of the cornmeal-breaded catfish that comes with this meal back home. See you all tomorrow.....got to shut this down and get everything packed !
Two years have passed since I started this thread. During that time, my grandson got his pilot’s license, and he and his wife had their first child, so i have a great-granddaughter. Now, he flies for Horizon Air, and next week Aria turns a year old........ my how time flies ! Robin and I are going to Nashville tonight, and flying out to Spokane in the morning. Both of my sons live near Spokane, as well as other family and friends that we are hoping to visit while we are there over the weekend. On Sunday , we will ride over to Seattle with my oldest son and his wife (grandparents of little Aria), and Robin has booked an Airbnb for us to all stay while we are there. On next Wednesday, we will be traveling back to Spokane with my son, and then fly home on Thursday. I will have the new iPhone 11, and should be posting pictures of the trip, but if I am not here as often, you will know it is because I am out having fun and sightseeing or visiting with loved ones. I always look forward to seeing the majestic Mt. Rainier when I am in western Washington !
Just a good excuse to get away so I can perform all the remodeling that’s hard to do when she’s around.
Oh,, I am taking my iPad, so I can still see what mischief you guys are up to, even if I am traveling ! Be AWARE !
I have been having a great time on my trip. I wear out a lot faster than I used to, so have been really tired each night, but have so much enjoyed the time visiting with my family. We spent the weekend in Spokane and then drove over to the Seattle area yesterday, and will be staying at a huge old house Airbnb for the next couple of days. On Wednesday , we drive back, and fly home again on Thursday. Here is the house BNB where we are staying.
I am sure that Bobby will be answering this question as soon as he has time, but just want to let everyone know that he is doing fine, and is immersed in a new project of tiling our bathroom floor. He had been worrying about doing it and me possibly tripping before the job was finished and only part of the floor was tiled; so when this vacation trip came along, it was a perfect opportunity for him to do it, and not have to worry about me getting hurt. We both have our phones and iPads, so we visit every few hours and send “virtual hugs and kisses” to each other. Once he has more free time, he will probably start a DIY thread about the project.
I thought a DIY project was on the cards, good idea to do the tiling now and will be nice to come home to a new floor too - keep going Bobby !
New tiles or no new tiles, what I REALLY look forward to is coming back home to my BOBBY.........I totally adore that man ! !
I know that you do, you're a great couple for sure - the thing is I'm pleased he's doing that floor, he has a distraction till you get home
