Y'all got it. The one and only Bette. Despite that quote Bette never came out as lesbian. in fact she knocked back an affair with Joan Crawford.. of all women.

 

If memory serves me correctly, Bette Davis and Joan Crawford were sisters. or am I thinking about someone else?

 

Your memory does not serve you correctly @Shirley Martin.. They were bitter rivals both for movie parts and partners.. never sisters. They hated each other with a passion. You may have heard they played sisters in the Whatever Happened to Baby Jane film.

 

That's probably what I was thinking about.

Rod Laver.. heard of him? .. famous Australian tennis player. yes the Rod Laver Arena is an arena in Aussieland ..is where The Australian Tennis Open is held every year.
