After talking to my ex and how easy voter fraud is apart from ES&S , my Pollyanna attitude is gone. One more thing to worry about. He did say though that the elections we worked, were all honest. IDs were carefully checked and verified. This wasn't part of my job but I did see the process because I'd spend weeks in the board of elections offices. I remember one lady who was bilingual sat at the computer all day and checked all the registered voters...this was in Merced County in California. That's all she did, think she only worked when there was an election coming up. But this election will be a very ______one. Fill in then blank with your choice of a word. I don't have a word for it.
Trump went to help out in LA today which I'm glad he did. The Democratic Governor there couldn't be more obvious in covering Obama's butt, lol. Said it's much better he doesn't visit LA because it takes away from their resources....so obvious! Of course all the Trump haters are saying he was wrong to go there and he should just have written a check, bla blah blah. Also, handing out toys is ridiculous when you have no home but I bet those little kids who are petrified and without their usual comforts loved the toys the best!
Plus, let's not forget that money trickles down and by the time it reaches the needy, there isn't very much, I'm sure Trump knows that very well. Had he written a check, everybody would be asking "where's the money"?
While I am sure that he recognized it as a political opportunity, this is the sort of thing that he was inclined to do all of his life. He has frequently come forward, usually quietly, to help people in need. Years ago, there was a woman whose husband had killed himself because he was about to lose his farm to the bank. Trump called the president of the parent bank and threatened to fund a lawsuit against the bank if they foreclosed, and he then arranged to pay the mortgage. There was also a time when Trump was waiting at night for a truck to come change a tire. Some regular guy stopped before the service truck arrived and offered to change the tire for him, and did so. Trump asked if he could repay him for his kindness, and the guy said no. Finally, after Trump insisted, he suggested that Trump could send flowers to his wife, and gave him his address. His wife received the flowers, and a few days later, he learned that the mortgage on his house had been paid.
I hope those stories are true because if they are I feel confident in voting for him. Those stories are wonderful and actually bought a tear to my eye. Wish the media would show this side of him....
I'm pretty sure they are. The one about the guy changing the tire I had heard before Trump was even a candidate.
Good! I read the other forum which is mostly liberal now and every day they bash him and some of the posts are really asinine and it frustrates me that I can't even respond to the idiot remarks because I'm banned there. So sometimes I'll reply here in a post but it's really addressing something I read there like the comments about writing a check rather than taking toys. Of course in the pic I see other things besides toys but that's not mentioned. It's like Trump handed out toys in LA. Smh.
We were looking at pictures of the families that were in shelters, and no place else to go, not much there for kids to do, since all they can provide are some tables and chairs and a dry place to sleep. I am sure that the little kids were thrilled to see some toys arriving for them to have something to do besides sit around or sleep. Just the fact that Donald Trump actually went there , and also sent two semi-loads of food, water and supplies says a lot about how much he cares. It is terrible that we don't even hear anything about this from our president. Yet, when those people in the church were supposedly shot and killed last spring, Obama had MILLIONS of dollars sent to those people within DAYS. Here , we have thousands of people devastated, and he doesn't even go there or have a conference about it. Hillary, even though they have the Clinton Foundation, which is supposed to be for tradgedies like this, has not so much as mentioned Louisiana flooding, let alone offereing any help. We have not heard any more from our @Babs Hunt ; so I have been hoping and praying that things didn't get worse where she is at, too.
He brought a tractor-trailer full of supplies, some of which were toys. He also contributed money to a local flood relief organization. He walked through some of the flooded homes with the homeowners, and I don't doubt they will receive personal attention from him. Every bit of news is like that. They look for the one thing that they can use to ridicule or minimize whatever he says or does, and they repeat that -- including Fox. His last speech was terrific, but the only thing that any of the news media will say about it is that he addressed a "mostly white audience," as if Hillary's audiences aren't also mostly white, and as if nothing he said was worth reporting on.
I know kids and no matter how hungry or tired their eyes light up when they see toys! As a parent in a flood situation that is what would make me the happiest. To see that my kids weren't feeling the tragedy of the flooding. I did hear that Obama was going to go Tuesday or something....I read today that his daughter was at a party that got raided but was pulled away just in time by secret service before the cops got there. Seems he has his hands full with her this summer, also read that she was photographed smoking pot at Lapalooza. I know it has nothing to do with Trump but just shows they're not the perfect family they're portrayed to be by the media.
Yep, and she is certainly not poor. It's all about how rich Trump is but she's pretty close and wears $12,000 Suits Which she might as well pay $500 for because it wouldn't look any different. If liberals can make fun of Trump, his hand size, his hair, etc...Hillary is fair game too.
