I play bass guitar and auxiliary percussion.. My band played all types of music, being billed as "The Most Versatile Dance Band In The Universe!" We played a sock hop, one day, and a Shriner's gig, the next. I sang lead and led the band, as well.
I played Fender and Standup Bass with our band, the Apple Valley Senior Citizens Club Dance Band. Our Pianist was 99 years old when he retired. He would always modulate to E Flat from the Key of C, which I thought was strange. We played charts from Ragtime through Swing and into then current Pop numbers, avoiding Rock & Roll. No guitars in this Band! Hal
Your wording, "no guitars in this Band". Hal, just what do you call that red/white instrument being played? A guitar! A lady drummer. Very cool. Reminds me of the bands, The Bangles and The Go Go's. Both had terrific female drummers.
Ididn't know you could get those shows om Me TV.That's great if I caan get them. Thanks forthe info. Thanks fpor the info. I'll check out MeTV.
Sure, Cody...I'ts a Bass Guitar, but I prefer to call it a Fender Bass. At 74, I was the junior member of the organization.
Just as an FYI, The Tonight Show runs on a channel called "Antenna TV." And to make sure my rambling was not too far afield: I was merely reminiscing about Wild Wild West and old Batman. I don't have access to them...they are not part of the MeTV lineup. Here's the MeTV schedule website. Here's the Antenna TV schedule website.
