I don't know where the camera got the 86F from. Although it wasn't bitter cold that day, as it has been today, it surely wasn't 86F. We don't even get temperatures like that in the summer; or when we do, it doesn't last long. I may have been wearing a short-sleeve shirt, but it wasn't 86°F.
Weather here is totally unpredictable. Two days ago there were two storms lined up to hit us sequentially. Last night was an Emily Litella moment (if you remember here-Gilda Radner on SNL). The weather folks said "Oh, never mind", as now there are NO storms forecast and the temp was -16 F. when I arose this morning and clear as a bell. No aurora last night, but it was visible on Monday night. With the bright sunshine, the high will be around +20 F.
Most of our snow was gone yesterday but I woke up this morning to find that everything had turned white. Most of that melted during the day, but it's snowing pretty heavily right now.
They came through my way and they're blowing through right now, Shirley. I woke up about 6:30AM to the sound of rain and turkeys gobbling right at my bedroom window.
Snowing here this morning. I don't know how much will accumulate, but the temp is around 25 F., so who knows. I think Anchorage is supposed to get rain this afternoon, so it should make things interesting for them.
We started the day with 32 F. and light rain. It went up to 43 F> and now it is back down to 32 and it is snowing.
I warned you guys to pay your carbon tax and it will fix all your complaints. I seen snow when I was living in Canada and that is all I need to remember.
