Untuck shirts a new fashion? Now, I have known/see some men and women that wore an untucked shirt/blouse to hide their large/larger bellies. Really.

It's not new, it's been a fashion for quite a long time. My husband has always worn his shirts outside, polo shirts, T-shirts, Shirts... and for the last few years he's worn formal fitted shirts, never tucked in and never with a tie,,,
I'm with @Holly Saunders on this. I didn't think ANYONE tucked in shirts unless it was required by work, a uniform or a special occasion. This is pretty much true for females as well.
I've looked at those shirts may for being untucked but they cost more than I wanted to pay. I don't mind paying more for good quality, meaning something that will last longer, but I don't want to pay more for fashion. As for whether I tuck my shirts, it depends on the shirt as well as the occasion.
If I'm wearing a white t-shirt, I will sometimes wear a flannel long-sleeve shirt and not tuck it in. But, like a regular shirt, a t-shirt will be tucked in.
When the tee-shirt is worn under another shirt, it's always tucked in. But I often wear (usually not white) tee-shirts by themselves, in which case they may or may not be tucked in.
