Is 800 the size you want? When I have a choice to make sometimes, I never know what size to chose....

    Now I know...will do!!

Yeah, 800 pixel-width works the best. They display well in the forum and they won't be rejected for file size.

Is there a place that indicates whether a picture is 800 pixel width? Cropping just isn't helping when I try to upload.

I am trying to remember what the Windows equivalent of Mac's "Preview" is. Probably someone here will know. On a Mac, when I click on a photo or image, it will display in an application called "Preview," and I can view or edit the size right from there -- View/Adjust Size. There is probably a Windows equivalent. Windows Photo Viewer, maybe?

Or if I right click, there is an option for "Get Info" which will tell me what the size of the file is, along with other information.

Oh, there shouldn't be a problem uploading from your desktop to here unless it's too large. Have you tried reducing the size a little bit/?:)

  11. No, because the only photo editor I know how to work is GIMP, and for some reason that's not working either.

Are you by chance referencing the "upload a file" dialog box upload_2017-7-2_16-55-32.png not working? When mine doesn't work, I simply copy and paste.

I recently joined and never could get the upload to work and thought it must be a feature for older members, so experiemented.

However, after seeing your original post I find it now works for me.

  15. I never had any problem with it before recently, so it must be computer-related.
