I understand Pfizer has a pill under evaluation that is for treatment if you get Covid and are fully vaccinated. That is part of their admission that the number of breakthrough cases is rising. They have to have a remedy for that, so not only do you get two vaccinations, boosters every several months ( they can't agree on the interval) and then you take two pills a day if you get sick after all that. I am with @Ken Anderson as I think it should be a personal decision, but in my mind vaccinating young children and pregnant women is criminal just as Joseph Mengele tested "vaccinations" on the unwilling.

I saw an advert sponsored by one of the counties' health systems here encouraging everyone to get vaccinated so they can have "Herd Immunity." I had to go look. This is from their website: I was unaware that any vaccine for this virus contributed to Herd Immunity is any way. I thought it just might reduce each vaccinated individual's symptoms. Surely these institutions of science would not conflate terms...would they?
Conceivably vaccinations contribute to herd immunity, but only do so in the absence of a pandemic or epidemic and the vaccine must be solid and not "leaky". Leaky vaccines create imperfect immunity and lead to the development of viral mutants, which is what is happening now. Both Israel and Singapore are approaching 100% vaccination, but both nations are now experiencing very high Covid infection numbers. The same is happening here, but with a much larger population and lower vaccination percentage. Administering vaccines in a pandemic simply makes this problem worse.
I know a woman who has COVID-19. She is in her mid to late thirties. She is on a ventilator. If they take her off of it, she will die. She has not had the vaccine. I don't know if any of you personally know people who have died from COVID-19 but I have lost count of the ones that I know who have died from it. I also know people who have recovered but, of the people I personally know, more have died from it than have recovered.
I fortunately do not know anyone who has died of Covid, vaccinated or not. I know several who have had the disease--both vaccinated and not--but none who have been hospitalized or have died.

That is horrible. It seems that our experiences with this are all over the place. I only know of one family who spread it among themselves, and no one got seriously ill (one of them works in health care in some capacity.) In fact, several of them had no symptoms and only knew because they tested positive. I believe one tested negative. They are all in the same household. There is a Prayers and Concerns section in our weekly church bulletin, and no one among our 3 affiliated churches has reported knowing of any COVID deaths within our circles since this thing started. That family I mention was listed in the bulletin...I don't know them personally.
With vaccinations and social distancing having little overall effect, a lot of folks are saying the hell with it and just going out and living their life. Look at the football and baseball stadiums. They are packed.
No, I don't. Everyone I know who has had COVID has found that it wasn't such a big deal. I do know of two people who have had major problems from the vaccine, however, and I have known of several people who died from the flu. I don't get flu vaccines either.
They died from COVID or died with COVID? Anecdotal, so take it FWIW: Since Cuomo "allowed" restaurants to reopen in June 2020, I've been going out to lunch every weekday with my two buddies. We have a rotation schedule and go to a different place every day, in a different town, repeating the same pattern every week. One of them will be 81 next week, the other will be 87 next month. On Saturdays I have lunch with three different people, the youngest will be 70 next month (I'm 71). In all of our rambling around the countryside, I only know of one person who had COVID -- a 43 year-old waitress at our Monday haunt had it last January. She said it was no different than the flu she gets nearly every year. She was sick for a week, then has been fine since. All my lunch friends above have been vaxxed, I have not.
That is why I think they are not sure how this is spread and who is vulnerable. I, too, know of one family of three whose only child brought it into the household (she was the first to report symptoms) and gave it to her mother. The father also lived in the house as they were home-schoolers and dad worked from home. Both females in the household had mild symptoms and tested positive for Covid, but the father was tested three times, never got sick and never tested positive. As far as I know, none of them had any co-morbidities.
