Do you have Marmite in the US? There is a saying in the UK that you are either a Marmite or a Bovril baby, in our family it's divided. I have always preferred Bovril the beef extract, as does my daughter Caroline, whereas my daughter Cathy prefers Marmite (she is vegetarian) Marmite is one of the products Brit expats yearn for and is stocked in English shops everywhere.
@Terry Page , yes Marmite is available here, usually in the British section of the ethnic foods aisles. I picked up a very small jar last year after a big discussion on another forum about it. It was a shock, but then I began to acquire a taste for it, but never bought it again. I've heard of Bovril, but never tasted it. I love the poster!
Being neither a fan of advertising nor fizzy lager, I shouldn't really like this Carling Black Label ad, but even I have to concede it's quite funny.
Not TV ads, but some of the Guinness posters were classics. The toucan was a regular feature, though quite why, I couldn't tell you.
@Tom Locke, the first one, Hamlet only had audio with corrupted video. I found it on YouTube however. It's hilarious! The other ones here are funny too. I liked the man on the phone.
Strange...it played OK when I found it on YouTube and I've just played it directly in the forum without a problem. A mystery.
Sometimes it's a country issue, Ruby. I've noticed that on some links Terry has sent me. But in this case, Tom's ad did play for me so it might be your device.
